Eyecare Services

Services Provided by Yardley Eye Care

Yardley Eye Care provides a wide array of services for you and your family’s eye care needs. Our optometrist, Dr. Brian Cohen is highly knowledgeable and experienced in all aspects of optical care. He is always happy to give advice or answer questions about any of our services offered at Yardley Eye Care.

Glasses Selection

Annual Eye Exams

During these routine office visits, Dr. Cohen will check the need for or update prescription glasses. He will also check eye pressure and other vital indicators of eye health. Visits are different for each person and the need for any eye tests x-rays or dilation will be determined by the result of the doctor’s initial exam.

Eyeglasses, Contact Lenses, and Sunglasses

If the optometrist has determined that you need glasses and gives you a prescription, we can help you move to the next step right here in our office.

  • Frames - Frames are one of the most notable aspects of eyeglasses, so most people spend a lot of time trying to find just the right ones. Since glasses become such a focal part of your face, you want to make sure that they look flattering on you. We can help guide you toward the right selection with our handy reference pages that describe and illustrate what type of frames look best on each face shape.
  • Hard to Fit Contacts - Certain eye conditions such as dry eye or astigmatism can make contact lenses difficult to insert and uncomfortable to wear. We can offer a variety of lens types and special eye drops that make contacts less cumbersome and easier to wear
  • Sunglasses - Our sunglasses store operates as a separate retail shop that offers medically oriented sunglasses and eyeglasses. In our shop, you’ll find a wide selection of frames that come in all the latest fashionable styles.

Treatment for Eye Diseases

Our office is equipped to handle routine examinations as well as offer treatment for a variety of eye conditions. Whether it’s performing specialized tests, administering numbing and dilating drops or prescribing a series of exercises and medications to help repair vision problems or eye damage, Dr. Cohen and his expert staff are always ready to provide their patients with a high level of service as quickly and as comfortably as possible.

Eye Surgery

Laser-assisted in situ keratomileuses, or LASIK, can repair vision problems such as nearsightedness or farsightedness and eliminate the need for wearing glasses or contacts. Dr. Cohen can perform LASIK surgery right here in our offices if he determines that you are medically able to have the procedure done.

Family Eye Care

Eye care is, of course, important for the whole family. At Yardley Eye care, we are a full-service family optometrist’s office who welcomes family members of all ages.

Children should have their first eye exam at around the age of 3 or 4 and should see the eye doctor at least twice before reaching age 5. This is so that doctors can check for amblyopia or other eye conditions that are much easier to treat if diagnosed at an early age.
