Contact Lenses
Contact lenses are a safe, effective vision correction option. We ensure that you wear and care for your contact lenses properly through a helpful training session at your initial evaluation. If you’re interested in contact lenses, please let us know prior to your appointment. During your exam, we’ll conduct a contact lens fitting, discuss the lenses right for you, and offer you training and a trial pair for practice before ordering your lenses.
Emergency Services
We know how eye problems can strike in the evening, and patients need care right away. That’s why we offer after-hour emergency visits at both offices. If you’re experiencing an emergency, please call our office immediately for the doctor on-call.
Comprehensive Eye & Vision Exams
A comprehensive eye exam is an in-depth vision and eye health exam. It’s recommended yearly for adults to keep prescription strength up-to-date and to catch any developing eye disease. For kids, a comprehensive eye exam is recommended before age 1, at age 3, age 5, and then yearly after that. At a comprehensive eye exam, we’ll determine your visual acuity and evaluate your retina, optic nerve, and all aspects of your eye health to catch any signs of developing disease before it impacts your vision.
A vision exam is a more basic yet thorough exam to test your visual acuity and check your prescription strength.
Eye Surgery
Dr. Cohen is one of the area’s foremost experts on refractive surgery—LASIK is the most common type to correct nearsightedness, farsightedness, and other “refractive” errors. Dr. Cohen will evaluate whether you’re a candidate for LASIK, talk you through your questions, refer you to an eye surgeon, and then co-manage your recovery.
Computer Vision Syndrome Treatments
Computer Vision Syndrome refers to eye strain linked to prolonged use of digital screens. We can treat eye strain, determine if you need a new prescription or adjust your glasses if eyeglass slippage is a factor, and recommend strategies to reduce risk. Children with myopia, or at risk for it, may especially benefit from such strategies.
Sports Vision Testing & Therapy
Sports Vision testing is a visual performance evaluation that can identify and address your visual strengths and weaknesses. Based on our testing of your visual acuity, visual processing speed, ocular alignment, depth perception, eye tracking, and other measures, we can customize a program to strengthen your vision to help you improve your athletic performance.
